Today, we announced that Rich Ciapala joined Kasisto as Senior Vice President of Engineering. He’ll join Kasisto’s management team and lead our growing Platform Engineering team – a group of very talented software engineers and architects, artificial intelligence and machine learning experts, and data scientists. This team has been hard at work innovating, enhancing and growing our conversational AI platform as demand for KAI continues to accelerate from financial institutions around the world. Rich will hit the ground running and work with the team to take our solid foundation to the next level.
KAI is leading the charge as the top conversational AI brain deployed at banks, with a proven track record of engaging and interacting with millions of customers and delivering measurable business outcomes. And, speaking of proven track records, Rich joins us with a successful track record of his own – many years at Microsoft where he built secure enterprise-grade products with cutting-edge emerging technologies which were designed to scale to support the needs of some of the largest companies on the planet. His leadership and engineering experience is the perfect combination to help us enhance KAI.
At Microsoft, Rich helped design and develop many products, including Azure IoT Hub, Bing, Microsoft HPC Server, and Visual Studio. He managed and led engineering teams responsible for architectural specifications, feature design, implementation and testing in myriad environments to create complex systems that meet the demands of enterprise customers spanning industries, languages, and geographies. Plus, he was part of Microsoft’s financial services practice and brings a wealth of knowledge about the financial services industry, working with some of the top banks on Wall Street.
His arrival is at a perfect juncture in our company’s life – we have strong market traction and momentum, we’ve learned from banks and their customers, and are rapidly expanding our engineering team while staying razor-focused on our product roadmap to keep winning accounts and expanding the reach of KAI-powered bots and virtual assistants to many more millions of consumers, businesses and investors.
