Working with Mastercard to make commerce more conversational | Kasisto

Today, at the Money 20/20 conference, Mastercard announced that we are working together to create a Mastercard bot for banks. Using KAI Banking on Messaging, Mastercard enables entirely new experiences, bringing Mastercard benefits and offers to consumers in human-like conversations that are personal and contextual.

 

Mastercard is driving commerce experiences in places and platforms that consumers already engage, and KAI-powered bots will extend Mastercard’s services to customers on messaging platforms where financial information and decisions become part of consumers’ everyday lives. With Mastercard bots consumers can transact, manage finances, conduct business and buy products via messaging platforms.

 

As the leading payments technology company in the world, Mastercard thinks differently, designing products and innovating fast – alongside issuers, merchants and partners – to create experiences as digital as the consumers using them. We are excited to partner with Mastercard as they leverage our conversational AI platform to make these experiences even more relevant, personal and helpful.

 

Using KAI Banking’s deep knowledge in financial services, the bot, Mastercard Kai, understands bank and credit card accounts and purchase histories, and can dynamically budget and monitor spending levels as well as provide help with financial literacy. These features are out-of-the-box with our platform since it already knows thousands of banking and credit card intents and millions of related sentences.

 

In addition, the bot was trained on Mastercard data and customized to reflect Mastercard’’s brand and voice. The bot understands Mastercard benefits such as Extended Warranty, Identity Theft Resolution Services, Price Protection, Zero Liability, MasterCard Global Emergency Services, and Travel Benefits. Mastercard Kai also supports Mastercard Priceless offers delivering exclusive access to sports, entertainment, culinary events in an entirely new way that’s contextual. For example, ask what you spent at restaurants last week in New York, and Mastercard Kai tell you the amount and transactions as well as Priceless offers at other New York restaurants.

 

We are already in the pilot phase and you can watch this video of Mastercard Kai in action. Our relationship started as a participant in the Mastercard Start Path Global program, and from there, we quickly started working with the Mastercard commerce and payment teams.
